Players were already shooting way behind the line anyways so this shouldn't be a huge change but I wonder what it does for spacing.

I think the coaches having the ability to challenge defensive and offensive charge calls can be a significant impact in close games. Too many times the offensive/defensive charge calls seem to be wrong and impacted the outcome of games.

The increased distance on three point attempts IMO won't reduce the number of 3 point shot attempts.

I've always wondered why it hadn't been moved out before now. The FIBA line has been in use for years in Canada, even in the early years of club ball.

I just think it makes sense. You have to be able to shoot from that line when playing internationally and all USA Basketball players are used to it anyways.

As info, when they moved the 3-pt line back for men’s college basketball a few years ago, the number of 3-pt shots remained about the same and there was a small decline in accuracy.

I just hope the challenge inspires the refs to up their game because they don't want to be embarrassed.

I wonder what the strategy would have been in rhe Baylor game. Challenge early by Geno to keep the refs honest so the game would have never been down to the wire? Or does one challenge by Mulkey at the end negate a whole game's pattern of officiating?

I do think the 3pt line change will separate the women from the girls and open up more spacing.
