Interesting article: However, this fact below in quotes I find hard to believe? The print copy had a great chart with all the schools listed with net revenue from FB and BB. Here are the ranks.
NC 21 mil
VT 19 mil
NCS 18.8
Clemson 17.5
Duke 16
GT 14.6
Syracuse 14
Pitt 12
Miami 9
MD 7
UVa 5.5
FSU 3.2
Wake 2.5
BC 100k
"The Connecticut football program broke even, and its powerhouse basketball program netted only $804,242 -- $4 million less than ACC basketball doormat Wake Forest."

Whaattt???

This stuff circulates now and then. It all revolves around the accounting practices and university funding methods used. Any sports writer with decent qualifications should know this by now.

If those numbers refer to last year, the UCONN football team broke even because they had to reimburse the BE for the unsold bowl game tix. Would have been a nice profit otherwise. Whereas, Oklahoma got the unsold amount covered by their league since it's written into their by-laws.

Miami mandates season tickets as part of the student fees. There's plenty of footnotes to those numbers is right.

FSU? 16,000 seats a game are 'free' student tickets--paid for by fees. It works out to $25 per football game and $10 for basketball.

Succesful programs mandate this stuff one way or another.
