It’s not as persuasive as I’d expected. But purely stats based arguments rarely are. I hope it turns out as they expect, with SC and UConn rolling through the tournament. But I am not as confident as their numbers suggest I should be.

UConn got beat handily by several teams this season so they will need to play their best to reach the final 8. They are super small and not really quick enough to play a press so that will create problems for them. Ice showed a little game in the tournament and that will be needed to beat a few of the teams. They can do it because they have Paige and AE as anchors so they really only need one more person to have a good night on offense to cause problems. They are still the best undersized team in the country and that might be enough if they get just a little help.
