PSU had two players taken in the draft Bentley was taken by Atlanta 13th relatively near where expected, but the curiouser pick was Nikki Greene taken at #26 by Phoenix. You just took the next sure thing with the first choice and you take another big, foul challenged center, as well. Greene is another Texas kid from Diboll. Trade bait, someone to pressure Griner in practice and provide serviceable minutes. She id in great shape and amazingly strong. Not knowing Phoenix overall needs at the moment a curious pick.

Interesting factoid: Bentley and Greene brings PSU's total draftees for the WNBA to 14 the MOST of any Big Ten school. Heck UCONN has had almost 14 at one time in the WNBA and Tennessee the same. What does that say about the Big Ten's status as a "women's basketball power."

Always wondered about that, being a Big10 fan (growing up in IL) my whole life. The schools certainly have the financial clout to be much better than they are at WBB.

Too much focus on Men's sports and especially football? Only so many entertainment dollars to go around for the fans?

Hasn't been a problem for the SEC. Where there is more focus on football and less entertainment $$ to go around.

Really I don't know what their problem is.
