Syracuse reports spending more money than any school in 2 sports. How does each stack up? (msn.com)
While the title showcases how much Syracuse has spent across all it's athletics and their related rankings within those sports, the article also lists the leaders of the sport and the leaders of the ACC.
Of note is Syracuse WCBB spent $5 mil in 2019-2020 (23rd in country, 7th in ACC), $6 mil in 2018-19 (13th in country).
It listed Baylor as #1 in WCBB spending at $8.3 mil and DUKE at #1 in the ACC at $6.7 million. This was under Joanne P McCallie in 2019-2020. Still though, that is a lot of money for such little result....
Speculation of the 5 other programs spending more than Syracuse in the ACC are ND, Louisville, NC, Miami and Virginia Tech or FSU. I hesitate on FSU as Sue Samrau was only making $700K per year but she did have long tenured assistants so....
