In the post game interview Morgan Tuck said the team doesn't always do what the coaches tell them to do, follow the game plan or scouting report. That is what Geno must have been referring to about the notre dame game. He also said last years team was given a game plan and they followed it. That will be the challenge leading up to tournament time.

If the Team , or individuals , are not following the game plan like the coaches have instructed , I wonder if this is the reason Geno has been unsettled on the 3-position ? He has started Napheesa or Gabby in the games. You would think that the 4 starters (Stewie, Mo, Tuck, Kia) from last year would be more attuned to following the game plans. If the players do not get it right soon , I think they may be in for some long and tough practices.

The comments in the Geno show after the game were also the clearest to date regarding her thinking on next year - she sounded more definite about coming back than Geno did! He mentioned that folks that do leave tend to not actually like the whole educational experience, and that Morgan is someone who seems to really enjoy it. She agreed.

Obviously I'd love to see Morgan stay around, take grad courses or what have you. She's a great player and leader. Losing Stewie and Wind will be significant. But we've seen this before. I was among those, when Taurasi was left by her lonesome, who ran around crying "We're gonna die, we're gonna die!" We all know what happened the next 2 years. Attended the Florida St and Maryland games. They were competitive, hard fought and fun. Alittle more of that wouldn't hurt. (Going forward, I think SC is somewhat overrated. If Geno can get his guys running on all cylinders, the game could be lopsided.)
Not saying there would be any Taurasi's left but UConn has a way of staying competitive. Duh.
It's always a treat to watch Geno build a team. (Morgan), Kia, Saniya, Crystal, Nat, KLS, Collier, Gabby and the two (who-are-theys)? Maybe they take a year off from a NC; maybe KO's team starts to play organized ball; maybe we join the Big12; maybe we get our butts kicked in football; maybe the soccer team makes the Final Four. Alot of maybes always make for an interesting, entertaining year.
We're incredibly lucky to be in Huskyland.

Beautiful, talented, articulate and she's fought like hell to return from serious injuries to get healthy for her team. Morgan is the total package. I love that kid.

Of late haven't made it past the Blue-White game. When Orlovsky left, that was about it. Diaco, Big12 or other....... maybe? (But I'm really a soccer junky: 3 years college, 12 years CT Shoreline club and Htfd Indust'l League, 7 years coaching kids. Football except for the Pats is not at the top of my list. But I try to be a UConn supporter acrss the board.)
But, hey look, I'm a '70 alum from the U of AZ. That's: '93 beat Miami in the Fiesta Bowl (NEVER made the Rose Bowl), '97- Basketball NC, '12 Baseball NC. The football motto is "Wait 'til next year".
The three BIG things the U of A has over UConn are not athletic: (1) all the coeds had great tans (2) hiking in the mountains was superior and (3) it was/is WARM.
