Que up Dave Borges' Twitter around 4:30 if you want to be the first to know.
From Borges: The Huskies could be down a key player, as well. Samson Johnson, the senior starting center, left Saturday night's win over Gonzaga early in the game and was put in concussion protocol. His status will be addressed by Hurley on Tuesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m.
most looking forward to seeing Nowell in the rotation.
i hope we are up big in these next few games so he can get a lot of PT and make up for the lost time on his path to becoming our backup PG. if we're up big he wont have to deal with as short of a leash as he might otherwise.
"He's doing great," Hurley reported, adding that it's possible Johnson could return for Saturday's noon bout at Butler. "Just depends on how he's feeling. He does feel great, he looks great. He'll be back soon."
“He went through all the aspects of practice and he looked good, he feels great. Obviously we’ve got to see how he feels (Saturday) relative to any symptoms, but he’s been feeling really good the last couple of days,” Hurley said.
I‘d like to see Nowell get a chunk of minutes to determine if he can provide some quality play. We will need another PG at some point. If he is healthy and does not play, then the staff is seeing in practice that he is not ready. That said, Singare has been a pleasant surprise, maybe lightning strikes twice for us.
