On today’s Bracketology, Gonzaga and Ines are no where to be found unless these old eyes deceive me. Loyola Marymount is listed as the WCC winner.

Both schools are tied in the league standings with one game to go before the tournament. But LMU is rated much lower than Gonzaga on Massey.

Is this just an oversight by a busy guy?

WCC is a one bid conference. The winner of the WCC league tournament will go. ESPN had to put one of them down. He has LMU as a 15 seed.

I don't know if it is based on Creme's opinion as who will win the WCC tournament or something else. Probably his opinion, as with other similar situations. Doesn't really matter, the WCC tournament winner will go.

Ines has been playing well for them, starting point guard, Gonzaga has been a good fit for her (and her for them).

Both Gonzaga and LMU play tomorrow. OSU is 13-4, 21-9. Portland is 10-7, 16-3

I believe that the reason Charlie has LMU in his bracket is that, although Gonzaga and LMU are tied at the top of the WCC standings, LMU won the most recent game between the two teams.

.-.
LMU hit a 3 w/ 2 seconds left in OT, beat OSU by 2. LMU will finish no worse than tied for first.

'Zaga game coming on just about now. I must admit I wouldn't be watching except for Ines. I'll watch at least some - maybe all of it. Ines showed pretty well at UConn but never enough to get off the bench except for a few times when injuries gave her more minutes. She obviously had skills and it's really nice that she's in a place she can showcase them. I'm hoping she puts up 30 tonight.

Gonzaga had a very poor start to the second quarter. Portland appeared to be getting more touches on Gonzaga’s possessions than Gonzaga got. The Zags just finished the quarter with a late run. Let’s hope that momentum carries over into the second half.

Gonzaga was up 4 very late in Q4, but somehow it went to OT and they lost by 1. LMU claims the regular season title.

The two teams split in the conference play: LMU winning on Valentine's
Day 72 - 63, and Ines winning the first matchup on December 28th, IN
DOUBLE OVERTIME! 87 - 80.
However, Gonzaga lost in O.T. yesterday ending up 14 - 3 and
behind Loyola Marymount, now 15 -3, who won over Oregan State.
I believe each has get a Bye into the Quarterfinals of the West Coast
Conference Championship series. GO INES, GO GONZAGA!

WCC gives top 2 seeds a bye all the way to the semifinals.

Kinda strange little factoid, both men's and women's hoops Gonzaga has dominated the WCC for multiple decades. Both played their last ever WCC regular season game last night (they are moving to the new Pac-12 next season). Both lost.

Chances of that are slim to none. She's averaging 6.3 ppg and has a season high of 16. She's 5th on the team in scoring.
Hope springs eternal. Hope wasn't enough as it turns out.

From what I watched it was impressive how high the quality of play/players was/were considering the two programs aren't in a position to recruit the best/better players. Back in the day - say pre-2000s - beyond the top 10% of teams the play was often just awful. Skill and conditioning was lacking to say the least. Fast forward and now almost all teams, even sub D1, have players that play pretty well and are decent athletes.
