You have a first place team playing a second place team on a 6 game winning streak and attendance is 4,900? League avg last year over 7,000? That seems impossible this year.
Unfortunately 5,000 is the new threshold for a great crowd for Atlanta and Dallas. Vegas not much better. Somethings not right with WNBA game attendance. You can’t ask for a better regular season from the players.

Aces win 88-74, now 1 game under .500! Also 1 game back of Connecticut in the standings.

Wilson leads the way w/ 24 points, 16 for McBride and 12 for Plum. 12 points and 10 rebounds from Swords off the bench. I don't know if she had a single game w/ that kind of production for the Storm last season.

Me thinks Ms. Swords is benefiting from a reunion with Coach Bill and a somewhat similar scenario to how she was used with the Liberty in 2015 and then throughout the 2016 season. Back then, Tina Charles drew the vast majority of a front line's attention -- including double teams and weak-side help --when she'd drive into the middle. Same is now happening with A'ja Wilson This left/now leaves Swords to crash the boards with less resistance. She knows how to find her spots.

The more I think about it, I could see Laimbeer pursuing a younger, quicker version in the upcoming 2019 draft, with "Crafty Carolyn" ready to provide minutes of the bench. As this board has discussed, there are a lot of young posts/forwards in the 2019 draft.
