No AT again, and I really doubt she will be 100% for a very long time. Watching her on the bench, its obvious that she's guarding that shoulder, and that it is still a major issue.
Trying to remain positive in the face of that and this ridiculous schedule... JJ looked much better last night. More than the 3 point shooting, her timing under the basket and ability to avoid foul trouble were encouraging. I know this was accomplished against the worst team in the league with an undersized front court, but just 3 days ago she had 0 points, picked up some bad fouls and was generally a mess against this same team. Especially considering AT's situation, a dominant JJ is a requirement for this team to reach, and be successful in, the post season.
Chiney continues to be an awkward-looking scoring and rebounding machine. But again, she should put up big numbers against the Fever. Very helpful last night was that the refs weren't calling every Chiney touch and bump a foul. She had been very vocal about inconsistent reffing recently.
Amusing sidenote, Courtney tied up 6'1" Vivians and got a jump ball call. There was a little buzz in the crowd in anticipation, and as expected, Courtney popped up like an infield fly and out-jumped Vivians by about a foot. That kid is fun to watch.
