I would be (also) rooting for all the Big East Teams in the Tourney. As I watch the conference "change", I have a feeling that I really won't care going forward. This year I will not be able to root for Syracuse (with or without Melo) or Pitt or West Virginia.
And I sure as hell can't imagine trying to root for Memphis or Houston, or (who else is going to be in the Big East?)
Just another casualty of the death of the Big East.

You mean you won't have a vested interest in Pitt's dramatic run through the CBI field?

I'm actively rooting against almost all BE teams. Certainly Louisville, Cuse, and WV. Can care less about Marquette. As much as it pains me, I am rooting for Georgetown. The way I see it, Georgetown is the BE's only chance going forward to have a top team opposite UConn.

Normally I'd root for Cincinnati but the players are not very likable and I don't much like Mick Cronin. He's certainly better than Buzz Williams but...

Always find it difficult to turn a switch and root for teams that I have rooted against for so long.

I'm rooting for cincy. My coworkers cousin is Sean kilpatrick who's gained some notoriety this year. (he's the one who made the comment about Tu holloway not being good enough to start for cincy, and he drained the game winner against us)

This just may be an example of the wtf posts that led to your hanging, Flounder.

And I was hanged for admitting I'd be rooting for Kansas. But either way, I share the sentiment of the OP. I'll probably lean towards underdogs, and probably will wish old time BE teams like Georgetown well. Marquette has a likeable squad this year as well.

Yeah, I don't really give a about conference pride anymore. UConn has been carrying everybody else on their shoulders for the last eight years anyway.

More than that. Maybe 20 years. We have won 3 times as many national titles as anyone else during their time in the BE. Now we have the best basketball programs in the BE. Obviously need that new facility built to maintain the momentum.

Guys, that's just not true. Syracuse is a much better program than we can ever hope to be. Just ask their fanbase.
