I watched Omar get rejected by the rim twice on a dunk attempt. I actually recorded one of the two. I think it was a bad omen.

some of the worst shooting i've ever seen was in warmups, pregame and at half. if the team isn't making open shots in warmups tough to expect them to make them in the game. usually there are a few guys you focus on that make 3, 4, 5, 10 shots in a row in warmups. they don't have that guy this year. there were 3 guys sitting together on the baseline that you focused on in warmups. when things get tough this team has nobody they can count on to make a shot or get to the FT line and kill the other team's run. sometimes purvis tries to take on this role but he's such a bad FT shooter that it usually makes it worse. the misses from three and even on every contested layup just pile up and it gets in their heads on the defensive end.

I think I saw Omar get stuffed by the rim 3 times in the 1st warm-up, but also saw him convert an alley-oop later on. Each of those were one arm power dunk attempts. Things looked better during the 2nd warm-ups, though. I don't think it was an omen of anything ....

Not anymore. Was one of the single stupidest rules in MCBB.

Omar, while looking more mobile this year, has never been the same after the hip surgeries.
