IMO 4 New P5s has significantly shrunk the NCAA bubble.
That’s not good for conferences like the BE, AAC, A10.
The structure of Autonomy is important because the NCAA needs to appease these conferences to stave off any potential breakaway.
If the P5 Conferences decided to just play between themselves (& the Alliance is already a step in that direction), then it’s over.
When Houston, BYU, Cinci, UCF join the Big 12, that will mean that HALF of the inaugural AAC roster is now a P5.
If you would have told me beforehand that 5 of the first group would be P5, and UConn wasn’t one of the 5, I wouldn’t have believed it.

What?

As Rothstein keeps preaching, its becoming a numbers game between the haves and the have-nots.
Perhaps the BE should expand to 12 and use up that last pro rata share from Fox. Though I'm not sure that would do much.

The Big12 is not a power conference.

The Amrican is crumbling (if not crumbled already) and the B12 is certainly losing its prestige as we speak. I am glad we are in the Big East and that I live in SEC land.

I’m going to go back enjoy my Friday night like I never read this post. What is it like 68 teams is not good enough to get a bid now a days?!?! We will be fine!!

There is no longer a P5 with these moves, it's P4 now. Nothing illustrates that more than the fact that the new scheduling alliance is B10, ACC, and Pac 12 only. Even those 3 want nothing to do with the new B12.

Basketball relies on the ncaa tournament…they will never make it p5 exclusive
