Kim definitely speaks her mind. I don't like all that comes out of her mouth--or some of her outfits--but she is rarely boring.

agreed. rarely boring. i still like the comments about playing aTm.

Texas A & M need not bother trying to schedule Baylor in the future.

BTW: I have always liked Coach Mulkey. The Louisiana Tech teams on which she played are among my all time favorites; Especially the 1982 championship team with Jancie Lawrence, Pam Kelly, and Debra Rodman.

Somebody with a flair for lyrics has got to do the new Christmas hit song:

A&M president R. Bowen Loftin responded to the Austin American Statesman’s Kirk Bohls.
He said “I have never desired to sleep with her, sir.”

Ouch. I guess she set herself up for that one.

I'm beginning to like Kim Mulkey
Down in old Waco
The gal with the tossled hair
her clothing, it has a flair
reminds you of an outfit from disco!

I'm beginning to like Kim Mulkey
the Baylor head honcho
matching wits with Sherri C.
butting heads with Gail G.
and avoiding A & M's lothario!

The Big Twelve's in a funk, their structure is junk, the teams they come and they go.
Misssouri's out, then it's in, then there's buckets of spin about when West Virginia will show
And U of L would dearly love to help the conference grow!

I'm beginning to like Kim Mulkey
from La Tech to now B. U.
Who knows what next she'll say?
But, there will never come a day!
When R. Bowen, she will woo!

I am also a fan of Kim Mulkey -- with player and coaching NCs she certainly has proved she knows the game. I also like her candor and team advocacy. But her histrionics on the sidelines can sometimes be ridiculous and almost laughable. It probably bothers me more because she is not coaching my team -- the people on the Baylor board often feed off of it. Does anyone else think her sideline demeanor is over the top?

I gotta say, the Baylor fans are very respectful of UConn fans on their board. I am not a huge KM fan, only because she cut one of my former teammates who had walked on the year they won the NC...(silly, I know, but this girl was such a hard worker and loved the program) but when I went to the regional finals in Dallas last year they were pretty cool fans and the ones near me even made fun of KM's outfits a bit.

Her response regarding Texas a&m Classic
A&M president R. Bowen Loftin responded to the Austin American Statesman’s Kirk Bohls.

Responding to a CLASSIC METAPHORE with a concrete reponse finishes out of the money:) It is like someone responding to a brilliant comment with a retort of "Oh Yeah"
Game,Set,Match Mulkey

If anyone wondered why Texas A&M is thought of as a bunch of yokels despite the high academic standing, Exhibit A can be its president making an essentially sexist comment like that.

A man could have made the same general comment, saying that leaving the conference but still wanting to play was akin to wanting a divorce but still expecting sexual access, and could expect that he wouldn't have someone commenting on his sexual desirability. Instead, someone who's supposed to the president of a major institution of higher learning stooped to saying that. What a tool.

And he's hardly a sexual magnet himself. I'm sure all the ladies are dying to have a shot at this guy:

Ugh. Aggies. Waco is freaking Paris compared to College Station.

Is he snapping his fingers at some coed in that photo?? :)

Naw, just signaling his waitress-on-skates, at his favorite upscale dining establishment, Chez Big Boy.

I kind of like Kim Mulkey since this game...

A much better comeback:

Lady Astor: "Winston, if I were married to you, I'd put poison in your coffee."

Sir Winston Churchill: "Nancy, if you were my wife, I'd drink it."

I have loved her since I first saw her in pigtails about 30 years ago.
