They just don't look like the same team we saw a few weeks ago.

I'm hopeful they'll turn it around on Monday and begin to build some confidence. They just don't look like they're a team that believes in themselves right now.

I really don't know what else to say. It wasn't like RU is a very good team that played well. I felt SHU was a very good team going into that one and they didn't show me anything that made me believe otherwise. I thought the Hall played very well against us. I didn't feel that was the case tonight.

Absolutely no inside scoring presence. The guards don't even look inside anymore before jacking up 3's. And with Lamb missing in action, the offense is non-existent.

Thats why AO needs to play more. Olander doesnt have a low post game

It was definitely a rough week of play, same problems tonight as we had against SHU. I'm just glad the road trip is over....hopefully Calhoun will help 'em find their mojo...and soon.

Alex has played plenty and done nothing. Granted its been at the 4, so maybe we need to only play him at the 5, but hes gotten his fair share of time and done nothing. Ill agree that he didnt get enough time tonight tho.

Rutgers never stopped running and out-toughed us. And they hit free throws and open 3s. Seton Hall out-toughed us with a more mature team. They both deserve credit. In each game, the better team won. Call it the Nate Miles New Jersey Nightmare, and hope that some kind of intensity emerges from this swamp.

1) Protect the ball
2) Lockdown defense
3) Made free throws

True, Tyler has outplayed Alex. But, something tells me we just need to give Alex lots of minutes - play through stuff and see what happens. We need his rebounding and size - when he plays well.

AD's 7 TOs probably cost us the game - he needs to tighten that up ASAP. But he is a great kid and he will clean that up. I do think Alex is the key to the team liking each other - he used to be such a positive force - this year his body language has been real bad. Calhoun and Alex really need a man to man talk and clear the air.

Those TOs clearly didn't help, but the missed FTs, poor halfcourt execution and getting out worked and out willed again by their opponent were equally damning.

FWIW, AD was invisible in a game it seemed he should dominate. The 'unforced errors" were killers by AD, RB, and others, but I was finding myself focusing on AD's tendency to shy away from contact for the most part. He needs to calm down and take some time to make plays, but he really needs to try to take the ball to the hoop and stop the fadeaway jumpers and the immediate pass back out without even looking to see if he could attack the basket or make an interior pass. The biggest thing is that he rarely really seems to focus on using his athletic ability and size to fight for position and be a force on the backboard at both ends. I think that he is a great kid as well, but he is playing too nice. Man, if he only could see what he could do if he just decided to try to drive and dunk every chance he got and dedicated himself to fighting for rebounding position.
