Phessa gave everything and left it all on the floor for every game!!!! UConn is just lucky to have so many of those great players and role models to come though. I read somewhere that Collier's grandfather came from Sierra Leone, wherever that is, have no idea, but for our country to allow and let immigrants to come and prosper is what made me so happy and proud!!!!

so what happened. Now she is making threes and free throws. Whatever it is, I am happy. Hope making the 3's is contagious. Crystal was also good from 3 point range, but an 0 fer on all inside the arc. Keep her shooting 3's to draw defenders out for Williams and Walker drives. I hope Lou has been spending her time shooting 3's so she gets hot for the Dance. Hoping they get their NC as seniors, I think it would mean more than just picking one up when Stewie, Moriah and Morgan did the heavy lifting, along with the Nurse. This would really be theirs.

Collier is 47 points behind Tina Charles for 3rd all time at UConn and 21 rebounds behind Breanna Stewart for 4th in that category.

She's likely going to finish 7th in blocks.

She's also 2nd in FG percentage behind Tamika Williams with a far more versatile offensive game.

She deserves every honor she receives. Class personified.

Sierra Leone is in Africa. And her grandfather was it’s first ambassador to the US, I believe. She comes from great stock.

I believe Phee’s grandfather was also a signatory to the document that granted Sierra Leone independence. The family has a photo of him in the Oval Office with JFK. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Best line "She's a butterfly. She's a bull. She's a cobra"
I think I heard this playing in the background when Geno was describing what Pheesa does for UConn.

If you are not a fan of Napheesa, I'm gonna need you to get your life together.

and a variant. "If you are not a fan of Napheesa, I doubt you can read the article"

Here are some interesting stats for 2 players:

Sophomore year

Player A: 20.4 ppg. 9.1 rpg, 83 assists, 77 blocks, 64 steals, .678/.431/.818 shooting

Player B: 19.3 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 129 assists, 59 blocks, 74 steals, .521/.398/.780 shooting

Senior year

Player A: 20.9 ppg, 10.5 rpg, 114 assists, 47 blocks, 49 steals, .614/.271/.722 shooting

Player B: 22.8 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 152 assists, 46 blocks, 87 steals, .525/.384/.843 shooting

Which player do you think was better for those 2 years?

Hint: Both were born in Jefferson City, MO.

I love Napheesa!! I have been a huge fan of hers since she stepped on the court at UConn. She is a very, very special player. Whatever Coach Geno Auriemma needed her to do, she has done. I will miss her after April, but I will be following her, along with all the other UConn players in the WNBA. Whichever WNBA team select her, they will have a gem.

I had her at 6-6, 2-2, and 7-7 from the box scores, in chronological order. Is that not correct?
My bad. I misread the USF box score, attributing Megan’s 2-4 to Pheesa. As you indicated, Pheesa was 15-15 for the tournament. Considering that she was at 70% for the season, Pheesa’s FT shooting in the tournament was amazing.

These are Phee's stats for her sophomore and senior years alongside the NPOY stats of the great Maya Moore. Phee is Player A. Her numbers stack up quite well.
