Apologies if this has been discussed already. I believe UConn finished 18th in the final Pairwise regular season rankings. So is the 16-team field basically set already or is there a chance we sneak into the tourney?

If UConn wins the Hockey East Championship Game they get the auto-bid into the NCAA Tournament.

If we lose the game the odds of sneaking is not likely @ all.

Winning the HE Tournament grants an automatic NCAA tourney spot, Pairwise notwithstanding.

Thanks. Seems like the only "locks" are UMass, UMass-Lowell & Northeastern. So if we win tonight - Hockey East will have 4 of the 16.

Shame it's only a 16-team field.

So I guess our optimal result is for us to win and for Bemidji and Harvard to lose. Of course, the first half of that is most important to me.

Yeah, I’m just saying it’s perfect world I wouldn’t mind seeing more hockey east teams in.

So Hockey East should be helping UConn to add an extra league team into the field at OSU's expense. Right?!? UConn has to be due for some favorable officiating at some-point this season...... :p

I like the way you're thinking, lol.

Looking around elsewhere Harvard is up late (8 minutes to go in the 3rd) and Bemidji State into OT

Minnesota State eliminates Bemidji State in OT clinching things for UMass Lowell; also QU has tied it with 6 minutes to go.

and with our loss.. Northeastern clinches. Harvard / QU will also go to OT to determine if Harvard or Ohio State claims the final bid.

wow.. that's amazing. I've never seen a game finished, reviewed, finished... and then again reviewed to be restarted. That's crazy
