What the hell is up with the special teams unit this year?? Blocked extra point from Nova, Army, and Mizzou. Wow!

The extra point miss bothers me. But not as much as our continued reluctance to catch fahqing punts. Not fair catching that punt and letting it bounce to our 2 set them up for their safety. Two very easy special teams play not executing whatsoever. Difference in the game is right there.

In truth the missed PAT ended up working out in the teams favor (unless you think Mizzou misses a PAT-distance FG) strategically when Missouri went for it on 4th and goal. Doesn't excuse it, 3 games, 3 blocked PATs is unacceptable.

The 1st fake FG pass from Boyle is what cost us the game. We were near the 20 and it was 4 and 8 or something(not sure). We should have used tarbutt @ that point and it would have been 9-2. Even is they went for 2 and made it 10-6, we could have ran it on 4th down/BS scramble run/pass

That play was right there and only saved by a great play from the defender. No problem at all with it.

I like to think it was more poor special teams and penalties that did us in. And, given how bad those were... Pretty amazing that we lost by 3. I didn't like that play call to end the game, but on the whole, I appreciate that he went in there to win and called a reasonably aggressive game.

^^^ what I said above, but to than go use rookie tarrbutt for a40 something yard FG later in the game on 4th and 5 and not go for it was another stupid ST move.

Great game. Defense is amazing. Almost had it. A crappy way to end, but shouldn't overshadow a great road game played in front of the 3rd most amount of visiting fans ever.

I'm not sure about that but they absolutely don't go for it fourth and goal from the one, mid fourth quarter, up 9-7.

That was a great call and even though the pass should have been a foot higher (which would have been beyond the defender's reach) Bloom needed to fight a little for that catch.

No, but he'll blame Diaco and say it's Boyle's lack of playing time not allowing him to get into a rhythm which led to the bad throw. (and I don't think the throw was that bad)

The Fake FG attempt was great, UConn just needs one damn TE that can consistently catch a ball thrown to them, unfortunately they don't. Hell these TEs are both huge and don't seem aggressive at all.

Better and then no need to have to choose a fake with < 1% chance or a FG with 0% chance. The fake was a combination of a bad call and a worse passer.

You're such an idiot it's unbelievable. I didn't say a word against Boyle, just you and you're insane desire to dump on Diaco every chance you get. In fact I said I didn't think the throw was that bad. I defy you to find a single post where I bashed Boyle, or any player for that matter. Go ahead.
