I'd have to complain about how Providence is getting away with mass murder. Get T'd up, Ollie.

26-10 and 16-3 are the rebounding and offensive rebounding comparisons. Absolutely amazing. Annihilated by Providence on the glass. Would love to hear from the "hey, our frontcourt is not that bad" camp.

What shocked me was Giffey had some really, really poor efforts late in the half. He just sort of batted at one for a couple seconds until someone in a Providence jersey came and took it from him. That's a guy who, when he gets his hands on one, we have to have it.

I can't wrap my head around a team getting 16 offensive rebounds in one 20 minute half. It seems like it should be impossible.

The whole team seems like they have eyes in the headlight syndrome! Things never started good from the 4, 5 on defense from anyone! But they were creating on offense. After the injury things really turned ugly!

They regressed to earlier in the season!

Giffey bobbled at least 2 boards and missed that bunny in the final 5min. Rough stretch

It looks like UConn is playing hot potato out there instead of rebounding the ball

Our rebounding can only be summed as average. But I agree Providence is just straight pushing underneath. And there can be something to be said about it being hard to rebound against a team just simply put chucks the ball at the rim.

Getting outrebounded 50-20 with 4 mins to go isn't "average" rebounding....not sure why we can't rebound against Providence vs other teams we've played but we should be blowing Providence out tonight. Their shooting is not very good and if we got the rebounds and not allowed two or three chances each time, we'd be ripping them a new one right now instead of winning by 1

Like I said, I don't think its good but sometimes its awfully tough to rebound when you have 4 guys crashing boards for them pushing and shoving and their players are literally just banging the ball off the rim. Many their shots early on in this game were atrocious. With those hard long rebounds sometimes its hard to spin and react in time and then rebound. On top of that our guards are leaking out trying to keep our offensive strategy of getting transition points. I don't think its lack of effort though...

I agree it's not a lack of effort. It's just a lack of strength and ability. We just don't have guys who can rebound and bang down low.
