Either still not fully healed or staff feels Mateas is ahead.

This is among the head scratching things from our current regime. I was b!tch!ng a year ago that the line would be at its strongest of Mateas was moved to guard and Bullock was our full time center (prior to injuries hitting each).

Mateas never played center prior to transferring here (and has been a bit slow to adapt to the position) yet GDL not only believed this kid was a center, he felt that Mateas would be an immediate upgrade on Petrus last year. I'm sure that GDL does legitimately know quite a bit about football (more than the casual observer) but some things (that he errs on) are so obvious it is ridiculous.

Time to revert back to getting the five best on the field, 2005 style, regardless of position.

i think p said he wasn't 100%, but why would he be put in there for any amount of time if he wasn't healthy is beyond me. just another example of not putting the players in a position to win, hopefully he didn't get more hurt than he already was.
