It's very clear that the defense under the direction of Don Brown has established an identity and has a coherent game plan each week for the opponent. Does it always work? No. But as fans its easy to explain to a novice what the defense is trying to achieve.

The offense? Not so much. George DeLeone strikes me as a George Blaney type. Full of knowledge, probably a great practice coach and someone who can kill it at a clinic to younger players and coaches. But during the dynamic ebb and flow of a game, they're not so good anymore. The offense is trying to do too much and trying to do things with players who don't fit the schemes.

Last year we gave all the coaches a wait and see approach. PP has done a good job overall assembling a staff on defense and special teams. The OC is the glaring 800 lbs gorilla right now.

If DeLeone knew how to make adjustments he might be ok. He just doesn't know how to make any adjustments.
