I think a Thread Title of "Ice is Arriving" is more accurate. As pointed out, there are a couple of lingering issues and they are the hands and also forces or other bad passes. Last year in the BE tourney it was different. She had 3 turnovers in 3 games and 0 turnovers, 8 boards and 13 points in the Finals. When a player doesn't hold on to a pass or rebound it may not be counted as a turnover but anytime there is a reasonably greater chance of changing a possession than it staying with a team and it doesn't happen, it has the same effect as a turnover. She is more athletic than she has been, has more confidence and is a smarter player. Very true that no player ascends in a straight line, there are speed bumps and depressions ( the physical kind) in the roadway. She is not a very dominant or prolific rebounder thus far and that can improve with technique alone. Bill Russell said he got most of his rebounds before the shot was even taken. What did he mean? Position and knowing the likely direction of the bounce of a missed shot. Same for Rodman who actually stuidied the misses of players on the other team. As a practical matter, we need her to grow, mature and improve every game as she is doing and the same is true for Jana who has the killer mentality on the floor to be sure. Ice has 2 more years and Jana has 3. Add Sarah into the mix and you have enough in the front court to get to the Promised Land. And then there are Aubrey and Ayanna. In a pinch, Paige can always play the 4. Lol. The present and future are both very bright and if you really think about the alternative, a lot of that is due to Ice's development.
