Yes, I know this isn't the prevailing thought.

Yes, I know he is selfish and doesn't give effort on D a lot.

Look, Bazz is frustrating me just like he is everyone else. But you can't tell me more Scoe/Giffey/Allen, as some have mentioned, would make this offense better. The only thing that will make it better is Bazz getting his confidence back and his team believving in him. The guy has SWAG...he had it last year and early this year. It's just all gone right now, and it's completely contagious. The announcers have hit the nail on the head the last 2 games...our offense stinks because there's no confidence, too much thinking and too much hesitating. We need Bazz to get out of this funk, take more than 7-8 shots per game (hes avgd only 8 the last 4 games) and get his swag back. His shot will start falling if he regains confidence, and that's not going to happen on the bench. Will it happen? I don't know, but I'd rather take that chance than giving his minutes to guys who aren't as talented.

I don't think swag will fix whatever ailment he has. Maybe he needs another root canal.

completely disagree with you on every point. your saying for this team to turn it around we need bazz taking more shots till he gets out of his slump and starts scoring points? smdh!

I'm not saying he should be firing at all cylinders to get him going again. But don't you agree that he's too good of a shooter to be in a 4-35 slump (or whatever it is)?

I just don't get the threads that say he shouldn't play. Why isn't Lamb getting the same treatment? Lamb is 10 for his last 37, gets beat on D like a drum and had a sequence of plays last night (losing the ball in a corner, missing a layup, making an atrocious entry pass) that is as bad as anything Bazz has done this year. I just don't think playing less talented guys than him is the answer.

JL is supposed to be our go to guy so you want him shooting even if hes slumping. hes a terrific shooter and he`ll come around. scoring is his job so he has to continue to shoot. bazz job is to run the offense and get the ball to the open man which he has shown no ability/desire to do and has steadily gotten worse on both ends of the floor. RB right now is a better option at pg while we dont have a better option at sg outside of lamb.
what we need from bazz is smarter play, better passing and defense.

I agree we need all that from Bazz, but he's a guy who's momentum rides on if his shot's falling or not. I don't like that trait, but I don't know if it's going to change. Again, I'm not saying he should be shooting every time down the floor by any means, but he needs to get his confidence back. And that's not going to happen on the bench.

shooting has a lot to do with confidence. first bazz isnt a good or great shooter hes a streaky shooter. he can get hot and obvioulsy he can go dead cold. i think if he penetrates and makes a few nice passes that lead to open buckets itll help his confidence immensely which in turn would help him hit the open shot when its there for him. i just want to see him play d like he did last year and just play smarter basketball. if he cant do that then he will not and should not be the starting pg when you have a player like boat.

Beyond shooting, Bazz appears to suffer from the same defensive condition that afflicts Boatright and Lamb in that he is weak on the perimeter. And this is not just because he does not fight through screens. All three sag on defense to help with rebounding and ultimately get burned by a three late into the shot clock. I would gladly give up their rebounding help to lock down the perimeter.

Lamb and Napier also look to the refs way too much on offense. Lamb esp. tries to avoid contact and let's defenders get away with grabbing him because he is passive when he should be aggressive.

Both of them need to keep shooting, but take BETTER shots!

No fadeaway, covered 23 foot 3 pointers when you are trying to get out of a slump. Make better cuts and take and make open 17-19 footers in rhythm...once they start falling, then back it up an shoot the threes but always be on balance and squared to the basket when you are trying to shoot your way out of a slump!

Now, in regard to defensive lapses...please DO have a quick hook for that. Pull either one of them out, explain how they messed up and then get them back in. Sooner or later it will sink in!

Unless there is 1 or maybe 2 seconds on the shot clock.

It's not the shots it's the quality of shots Bazz is taking. He needs to keep shooting because he is more valuable at the 2 than the point. He, JL, TO, Scoe AO and teh rest are hesitating with the ball. They are out of sync and need snap out of it soon. Kemba was much more than a leader. He was the heart and soul and we need a heart and soul now. JL isn't a leader. His affect is that of sniper and he needs to shoot other teams hearts out. Boat will lead us out of this, but Bazz needs to get under better control.

I just don't get the threads that say he shouldn't play. Why isn't Lamb getting the same treatment?

It appears as though most people on this board pick one player, who is not performing to the best of his ability, and just totally rip him to shreds for a length of time. Then they move onto someone else. It was AO, now it's SN...who knows, maybe JL is next!

I agree that sitting is no way to get confidence back. I sincerely hop SN finds it within itself to push himself and ignore what people are saying and do what he already knows he needs to. I hope that for all of the members of the team.
