It seems to me space is an issue when both AO and Drummond are in the game together. Notice each one will take a side of the lane and when into the lane--both at times move in unison from low post to high post to set a pick. I think for this team--removing one and playing smaller might be smarter for this team. Imho, I think we should go with Alex as the starter--hes been there done that and with more space and concentration--he should be able to pick it up. We need to make a bold move to get the bigs playing better and changing some chemistry issues

Example

C-Alex O(low post PF/C
F- Tyler O(who plays more like a 3 from high post
F-Roscoe Smith(imho still best defender)
F/G Lamb
PG Napier

2nd unit
Drummond
Giffey
Boatright

out of rotation Daniels

By the way this is the starting unit minus Kemba that we won a NC with. Obvioulsy Napier isnt Kemba--but if we can find a chemistry in that first unit--and i think they can--and back it up with what would be a strong bench---I see better results. Need a big change up . We can use this and morph into secondary three guard line up of

C-Drummond
F-Giffey
G-Lamb
G Boatright
G- Napier

We really don't need a drastic change up. We need boat back, and we need to up the tempo. AD is so athletic and runs the floor so well, but we keep him in 1/2 court sets. Use the whole court.

this has been my opinion for a month now. I might have Daniels rotating in at the 3 sometimes rather than Giffey who I just think is limited and would actually fit better in your 3 guard setup.

Just bringing back Boatright isn't enough. The consistent production from the big positions is the overwhelming problem on this team. On top of which I believe the team will be a more efficient if we create additional space on the offensive end. We are just too stagnant playing AO AD. I like using Olander is the high post AO as the low post and Andre as the energy man. They can still get their minutes but in different sets.

I'm not sure getting Boatright back is going to solve everything but I think it helps a ton.

I like your 8-man rotation with Daniels as the 9th man.

Not sure what the combinations should be but, the minute distribution is out of whack right now.

With Boatright out:
Lamb is getting almost 40 a game at the 2.
Napier almost 39 a game at the 1.
Giffey 32 at the 3
Roscoe has been at 15, I would like this to go to 20 if possible at the 3/4
Olander has been at 10 and this needs to go up to 15-20
Drummond (30) and Oriakhi (20-25) have been OK with the number of minutes they have seen.

I would prefer it like this on average:
Napier with 30-35 minutes a night (15-20 at the 1 with 10-15 at the 2)
Lamb with 30-35 minutes a night (25-30 at the 2 with 5-10 at the 3)
Boatright at 20-25 minutes a night (Mainly at the 1)

Giffey with 25-30 minutes a night at the 3
Roscoe with 20 minutes a night (10-15 at the 4, 5-10 at the 3)

Olander with 15-20 minutes a night at the 4
Drummond with 30 minutes a night at the 5
Oriakhi with 20-25 minutes a night (10 at the 5, 10-15 at the 4)

There are some good suggestion in here. Thing is Calhoun will never have a set rotation. He is too big a fan of yanking someone out, then when he finds something that works he goes with that for long stretches.
