I should've bet that UConn would be at the very least in the same quarter of the draw as Florida if not to meet up in the second or third round. When was the odds would've been?

The last team that went back to back versus UConn's back to back. There's no way that game wasn't gonna be set up.

So you're saying the NCAA wants to stop a three-peat? Why would they care?

All of the stars are aligning

UCLA advancing in their bracket is further proof.

No. But get back to me after this game's viewership numbers are available.

And it's a little bit scary that the pop-up that just came up as I was typing this was:

but I'm not wrong. This is the matchup that the NCAA and any TV contract hoped for, dreamed about.

It's the perfect match up as far as they're concerned.

Would have been us and Duke perhaps too. More history with us there. But our recent history vs number 1 FL must still sting 11 years later.

Let's count the number of times mentioned on tv the last team to go back to back and fail the 3-peat versus this team who went back to back and is now trying for three...

it's a dream matchup made for TV.

I said that in a post right after they announced the bracket. They gave us Florida in the second round after matching us up with a bad Oklahoma team in the first round.

Of course they wanted this match up. Now if the situation was reversed and Florida was a 8 seed and we were a one seed not sure that would have been the case.

As soon as the selection committee knew Florida was a one seed and we were on the 8-9 line this match up was automatic.
