I don't like them when they are losing.

Today I liked them at the end of the game and in overtime. I liked Shabazz in the second half but not the first. When Lamb hit that three pointer, I thought he was a first string All American.

So who's with me. Go Huskies!

I don't like it when they don't look like they're trying. I don't like it when they make bad decisions and dont' learn from their mistakes.

I do like it when they play hard and play smart. and I LOVE it when they win.

So what exactly is a "Palatine". It's critical information that I need to decide if I like you or I don't. Especially on days when we are winning and/or losing. ;)

GO HUSKIES!!! BEAT THE ACC NEW BOYS(THE LAST THING I WANT TO SEE IS THESE CLOWNS GETTING THEIR HANDS ON THE BIG EAST TROPHY!!! TOMORROW WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON A MISSION FROM GOD. )

Not sure if this is his intended reference, but Palatine Hill is the hill in Rome where Rome itself, and much of what we know as Western Civilization, were founded. It is next to the Colosseum and overlooks the Forum. According to Roman mythology, the cave where the she-wolf found Romulus and Remus is located in Palatine Hill. It is a very cool, important and interesting place historically. Went there for the first time this summer and felt like I was walking on the some of the most hallowed ground on the planet. Highly recommended.

It's also a suburb of Chicago, nowhere near as cool as what you're describing.

It also refers to the roof of your mouth. That only matters if the game made his mouth go dry and his tongue got stuck to the roof of his mouth.

The nice thing is that many of these ****ty fans won't even bother posting, or even visiting the board since we are winning. Yes, Fortebleedsblue and Huskyfan32, that means you.
Actually I posted plenty. Go do your homework. I said lots of great things today. When they suck I'm pissed and point it out. When were great I'm pumped and also point it out. Seems like a fan to me. Doesn't make me like them any less than you do because I don't refuse to recognize our flaws or am too afraid to post about it whichever ur reason is

I got a chuckle with this thread. I'm inclined to think that Palatine is being sarcastic, but maybe he's not.

I root for our team regardless. I do tend to enjoy them more when they play hard and execute well. I tend to get frustrated with them when they don't play as hard as they are capable of, when they stand around, when they don't box out, when they carelessly throw the ball around, when they don't fight over screens, when they miss lots of FTs and when they get out-played by less talented teams.

But with all that said, I don't like them any less. They are our team and I will continue to root for them till they play their last second.

you know what guys? i think syracuse is going down today. something is telling me that they are going down today. its the same way i felt last year when we beat arizona. i absolutely believed if we beat zona we were winning it all and it turned out exactly like. we played them tough until the end until the wheels came off in the first game and fell just short in the second game. and btw no jim calhoun.
ill say this if this team beats cuse and goes on to win the big east its going to send shockwaves through out the country. teams are going to be put on notice that the giant in storrs has woken up and teams like uk,cuse, unc and duke are going to be hoping uconn doesnt end up in their region. if we in the bet i think we go out west where i think either ku or mizzou will be the 1 seed.

A high ranking official at the time was named after Palatine Hill. He was called a "Palatine." My guess is this is where our Palatine came up with his name.

And for those still wondering - sarcasm is Palatine's style.

I only like Jeremy Lamb when he scores a gazillion points and shows emotion while doing it. If he scores a gazillion points but shows no emotion on the court, I'll only remember the trillion points he scored and question his heart and motivation. When he turned the ball over by dribbling off his foot, I thought he was dopey and silly. When he made the 3 pointer off the screen in overtime I thought he was a better player than Rip. I hope Lamb scores infinite today, or I will blame him.

When they play as spirited and as effectively as they did at the end yesterday, it only drives you crazier. The lack of hustle, smarts and toughness that has been the case over the long haul of the season isn't erased by one game. However, instead of "hating" the team, as some often seem to do, it makes more sense to realize that they are an incomplete team that isn't good enough to give you every facet of the game every time out. Yesterday it was rebounding that was a huge issue, today will be something else. It doesn't mean they can't win, but it also doesn't mean that they should be bashed relentlessly.
