Number of reasons:

  • Being a college bball fan, you know most of the players from their college careers. Tons of Big East guys.
  • Get to see UConn draftees early
  • See some players starting their "break out" years
  • Something else sports related to watch this time of year besides MLB.
I DVR every game and work my way through them while playing video games or doing work or otherwise wasting my time near my computer & TV.
Watching Jazz vs. Pistons right now. Drummond just caught the ball in the right corner, dribbled once, stepped back and hit a jumper over Kanter. Pretty surprising, but if he can keep doing things like that he can be a great NBA player. Looking forward to seeing Lamb this summer as well.

All the players are putting in the effort and playing HARD...because making the roster depends upon it.

How 'NBA' realistic are these games for measuring a draftee or NBA wannabe's potential production in actual NBA games? I ask because the talent on the next level I presume is better (don't know how much) and I am not that much of a follower of the NBA.

D-League quality, with top draft picks/good, young NBA quality talents sprinkled in. Kinda comparable to watching a AAA baseball game.

I'll give you credit, you are a true Basketball fan. Five minutes of summer games is my max. I'd rather watch old reruns of Perry Mason. Just caught one where James Coburn gets it.

My buddy back in school rather than call someone a "loser" would call you a "Hamilton Burger". He was Perry Mason's Washington Generals.

I should say that I tend to watch like 5-10 min of a lot games and get bored because there isn't really a player I'm interested in and go onto the next one. I'm also doing something else while watching, it wouldn't hold my interest to just sit there and watch it.

What channel??
