not suspend Hall for this weeks game. Shocking, I know. Probably some mean bible study sessions coming up this week for Hall. SCUM is a POS.

Well, Meyer and Ohio State make for a marriage. Not much in the way of ethics, but nonetheless a marriage of similar mindsets.

How can you have a player flip the double bird to the fans and not get suspended by the NCAA let alone the head football coach? Blows my mind.

Two reasons. First, the NCAA only cares about making money. Second, Myer only cares about winning.

I missed this. Did a kid flip the double bird to the crowd?

I think a drunk kick contestant did that Saturday at the Rent. Tried to replicate Teggart's 42 yarder. First he flossed his crotch with his jacket then proceeded to kick a ground ball about 20 yards left and got booed off the field. Followed that up with the double bird.

His parents must've been proud.........

My boo-meter is set to: if a contestant goes all Martin Grammatica before the kick attempt and proceeds to shank a grounder to the 15 yard line, that deserves a hearty booing. The kid who made that same kick in shorts against Louisville got himself a hearty cheer.

If you watched the entireo ruckus, OSU got screwed. Several more UM players should have been tossed for instigating the whole thing.

As for the bird, ever since blackjack did it in 95, it's become a bit cliche.

Yeah, starting OL got tossed for fighting, threw his helmet 50 feet on the sidelines and walked out of Michigan Stadium doing the double-bird salute. Won't be suspended for even one second by Meyer. Typically, you'd think the classy B1G would step in and suspend a kid, but at the end of the day all their bluster is just that. They want the money too.

Meyer said OSU AD Gene Smith is still in conversation with B1G about any added discipline for M.Hall, Wilson for fight in Michigan game.

AD Gene Smith says Hall, Wilson matter should be wrapped soon. Urban says suspensions would be a blow but OSU will be "good soldiers & go."

Only chance is if the B1G University Presidents collectively do not want their image tarnished, i.e. to be known as the SEC of the north and force Delany to lower the boom on Myer and Ohio St, before he gets carried away. While football $$ are important to the B1G as a whole, their academic research $$$ and related finding are worth more. Outside of Vanderbilt and maybe Texas A&M, no one in the SEC is in the same position, just look at Alabama - I doubt any of their academic facilities have Italian marble.

I STILL shake my head when I think about how he suspended his star LB at UF for one whole, entire, QUARTER of 1 game for trying to gouge out a running back's eyes.

I didn't know that Italian Marble was so important to the quality of a college education.

I am pretty sure you will find a lot of marble used on the buildings at Alabama. Alabama is famous for their marble. Some consider it better that Italian Marble. Among the best examples of Alabama Marble is the Lincoln Memorial including the Lincoln Statue.

I remember that play well, Brandon Spikes. What a punk.

Not sure I really expected anything else...

“@slmandel: Big Ten reprimands Ohio State's Marcus Hall for his exit antics and the coaching staff for failing to escort him. No suspensions from fight”

Oh - They also publicly reprimanded Bo Pelini and fined the Huskers $10k for his behavior. Here is his response :p

Great, they've set a new precedent other schools can descend to in the future. $.$.$.$.$ They really do belong with FSU.

Yeah, I'm sure Urban will hold him out of special teams duty and maybe just maybe hold him out of the game's whole first play.
