1) its Greensboro

2) Does it actually count as a regular season victory? Greensboro is a Division III school...

3) Nice to see the ECU coach helping out her alma mater

Ah thanks for the correction. Most of my post was tongue-in-cheek in that UCONN won't end up anywhere near the bottom of the league, Cinci won't end up anywhere near the top, and it's probably the only time this season that 8 teams will be undefeated in our league...

As I was reminded by a fellow poster last week. It's not where/how you start, but how you finish. I don't care who you play. It's ALWAYS nice to win your first game of the season!!!!!!!!

Valid question. My understanding is that games vs. D-II and D-III schools do count officially toward the win-loss record but are disregarded by the committee for tournament selection and seeding purposes.

Eric---I'm so happy you cleared that up!! When is a Donkey a Boro or a Borough or burro or buro?? /--sorry if I'm making an jackass of myself. Cinci has always been near the bottom of Ohio-

Although most of these wins came against teams that finished last season in the bottom half of the RPI,

I should've added that, even though it counts toward the win-loss record, it is disregarded by both the RPI formula and the tournament selection committee.

While most of these wins can hardly be described as resume-builders (coming against the teams that finished last year in the lower half of the RPI), the win by Memphis over Missouri State — which just today beat the Big 12's Kansas in Lawrence by 23 — is pretty damn noteworthy.
