I am NOT working on Saturday afternoon. Is there a UConn bar or game watch or a link to where I can find one? No luck so far. Not opposed to locking myself in the hotel room and bouncing off the walls but it might be nice to have another option.

I won't be in town, but go to the Garage in culver city. That's the official LA alumni spot and there should be a good 50+ there for the game

This. I'm actually one of the people who organize alumni events out here.

The Garage is the spot to go to (3387 Motor Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90034).

I, unfortunately, will also be out of town this weekend but there will be a ton of people there and they have good food too. The local CBS affiliate actually showed up back in 2011 when we took over most of the bar.

PM me if you have further questions. We also have a FB group or you can follow us on Twitter (@UConnLA).

Off-topic, but if you have other free time out there I definitely recommend the Grammy Museum in L.A. We stayed in Santa Monica for a week last summer and loved pretty much every second of it. Most of it was stuff we knew about in advance and expected that we'd love, but we didn't know about the Grammy Museum until it was recommended by a friend who lives out there. It is basically a popular music museum, with many cool features and exhibits. We spent three hours there and could have spent more if we didn't get so hungry that we had to leave to eat. There was a Groupon for discounted admission that we purchased on the day we went, so if you go you should look for that. If the Ringo exhibit is still there, make sure you save some time for that. Lots of really cool stuff there.

Be sure to leave some time to enjoy the earthquakes.

Joke on my part. But I'm heading there with the family week after next and my wife is getting nerve racked.

And we were right near the epicenter of the 7.3 Kobe quake in 1995.
