He did say he is more excited about Batouly and Azura' than the 4 freshmen (in the context of next year). Marisha talked about making Azura' tougher, learning to go harder. Said she and Batouly will be ready. Azura' let slip she recruited Batouly. Azura' said the mental focus of practice was the biggest challenge. Geno said she huffed and puffed in sprints and she made a cameo appearance huffing and puffing!

I guess the Blue Devils spend too much time in the library to be in top condition--or to know which basket they're defending...

Geno has said that if Z (no longer AZ, I gather) stays both years, she'll be POV. Problem will be that in 2018/19, UConn will have about 5 POVs.

The coaching staff got in a number of digs against Duke. Coach Geno mentioned how out of shape Azura was: couldn't sprint without getting exhausted. And Azura herself praised UConn as being on a different level (from what she experienced at Duke).

Quite enjoyable!
