A good young coach will look at the UConn job as a chance to burnish his resume. Coming off the complete disaster that is Pasqualoni, the next coach has a very good chance to improvement and turn heads. Marrone did it at Syracuse. I think the prospects for recruiting and developing good players at UConn while in the AAC are good enough that you can attract quality coaches.
I expect there to be significant interest in the position.
The only question is, will UConn pay for a decent coach?
