Team stats with Reed vs. Johnson so far this season.
All the three point attempts in the first half on film.
A look at the defense contesting Le Moyne's shots.
Jaylin Stewart's passes.
Solo Ball's 2nd half spurt.

I enjoy these reads despite it obviously being so early in the season.

Defensive contests is an interesting stat. Karaban and McNeeley have more than anyone. Is that because they guard the best wings? Or is that because they're a bit slower than guys like Diarra or Solo and can't eliminate the shot entirely?

Stewart is brilliant in the zone buster spot. If we see a zone early, I wouldn't be against plopping him in before Ross. So comfortable, made the right reads.

Solo was bizarre tonight. Even with the fouls, it makes me wonder if he was getting sick. Out of character.

I'm also a little surprised by how little we are attacking the rim. I'd like to see more of that from our guards and wings.

Correct me if I'm wrong... the article says that the team is better with Samson on defense and better on offense with Reed.

But the RAPM chart we have shows Reed as better on both defense AND offense.

I've been really excited by Samson's passing so far this year. That has certainly improved, even if some improvement in other areas wasn't as drastic as we'd have liked.

I'm not that great at stats. Can someone decode that for me? @auror .... looking at you, lol.

I was reading the chart wrong. A decent % of our plays are for rim attacks, we just do it very little compared to the rest of D1. Makes sense, considering how assist-heavy our offense is. Much more likely to get a cut and score or post up out of us.

McNeeley rebounding figure in this or just O? Combined he’s 8th or 9th best impact? Crazy.

So hard to over analyze results against these teams - 300+ club. It’s really more about the eyeball test at this stage. Let the data go to work starting in Maui.

Just a 1 game sample for the RAPM chart, so plenty of noise. He was on the court when we were bricking 3s to start the game and then also on the court when Le Moyne banked in a 3 and hit a prayer heavily contested 3 and they outscored us 9-12 in his minutes at the end.

The Samson/Reed is season-long, while the RAPM chart is just the 1 game.
