Good Morning Boneyard! Was wondering if the team will be allowed to travel home for Christmas? Thinking some of the girls who live out of country won’t or can’t. I imagine the best thing would be if they all stayed together

After today’s game the Huskies are back on the court in 8 days vs Marquette. Between the time it takes to travel to and from home for overseas players, the availability of flights and the required quarantine period at both ends of the trip, I seriously doubt that Anna and Nika are going anywhere.

As for everyone else, even domestic travel has challenges and risks associated with it. I would not be surprised if the players forego all holiday travel in favor of celebrating Christmas together on campus as a team.

One of these threads, per Geno...........They aren't going anywhere.

That's my understanding as well. I think the staff is concerned that one (or more) of the players MAY come back to campus after going home for Christmas and being exposed to various friends and family members, and test positive, thus setting the program back another 10 days (as they quarantine) again. UConn is still playing catch up from the first quarantine. Villanova has already played 7 games.

Games are still be canceled and postponed, ergo: "from ESPN this morning - UC San Diego's women's basketball team will have to wait before it can play its first game as a Division I program. The Tritons' game Monday against California Baptist was canceled at halftime because of coronavirus testing concerns. Prior to the cancellation, the Tritons led 28-25. Because the game didn't reach the 30-minute mark, it didn't qualify as official". Per ESPN, 12 scheduled games today have been canceled or postponed today.

Yes, one day after playing Arizona, Colorado’s WBB game with Arizona State was postponed.
