“I’m going to try to get stronger and faster and all that stuff, but when it comes to on-the-court stuff I want to focus on ballhandling and taking people off the dribble whether it’s with a screen or without a screen and just being able to basically have a lot of options when I’m on the court,’’ Stewart said. “I think that’s definitely going to help me become more of a complete player. If I’m able to really get comfortable with that and really create good ballhandling skills it’s going to be hard for teams to defend I think. And it’s just a better thing for our team.’’

It takes a special kind of young woman to come to UConn, buy into Geno's thesis of hard work and team play, and put in the effort to maximize her abilities. Stef is a stellar example. There are many others as well. Stewie is showing that same incredible dedication. Great work, Stewie!
