Well deserved, Dan! He has elevated our program to a new height!

Huskies has beat opponents by double digits in 8 consecutive NCAA tournament games. Apparently That’s the first ever in NCAA history.

Huskies is the only defending champion team that reached sweet 16 next year.

The ultimate crown jewel would be back to back champs.

According to the Hartford Courant:
"UConn men’s basketball head coach Dan Hurley was named one of four national finalists for the Naismith Coach of the Year Award on Monday."

"He would be the first UConn coach to receive the award."

"Iowa State’s T.J. Otzelberger, Houston’s Kelvin Sampson and South Carolina’s Lamont Paris were also named finalists for the award, which will be announced on April 7 during the Final Four in Phoenix."

he's got to get it over Sampson. Houston had higher preseason expectations than us and we outperformed them. ISU and USC vastly exceeded their preseason expectations.

UConn was ranked 1 spot higher in both AP and Coaches preseason polls. UConn also received 1st place votes in both while UH did not.

3 out of the 4 on that list deserve it. Paris did a fantastic job with a low expectation team, but he did not have the seasons the other 3 had.
No disrespect to Ox but I think this is a two horse race between Sampson and Hurley. Hard to get worked up about either coming in second.
