He has a good sense of humor and is obviously very aware of his shortcomings. Any criticism of him by people that know him always talk about him being a good dude which is high praise for me.

One thing listening to Hurley, he has not complained about a lack of NIL money. Not saying UConn has the money of some schools, but he seems comfortable with where we are from an NIL standpoint moneywise. He is the type who would be voicing his displeasure to the media if that was not the case.

Good interview for sure. It is apparent that many basketball coaches are crazy people in their own ways, but balanced by very strong character. Danny Hurley has a good handle on his own brand of crazy, and I'm convinced that the ride we are on up here in Storrs will continue.

I was surprised that they discussed this on "Around the Horn" today. They talked specifically about the comments Dan made around the referee comments. Clinton Yates, who needs to get his facts straight, criticized Dan for threatening the NC reporter. Fortunately, the guest host Courtney Cronin corrected him and stated that it was the SID that made the threats. But Tim Cowlishaw took the more reasonable view and talked about the fact that the incident wasn't in a press conference but rather in a reserved area just after an emotional loss.

Elite 8 matchup tomorrow consists of a guy who strangles women when he doesn’t get his way in a domestic dispute and another who sends unsolicited pp pics. Would venture to say not one thing will be said about those incidents on main stream media because they’ve been “cleared”.
