Eh. He has to be smart enough to put those players in the game. Where was Gaffney in the 2nd half?
Gaffney went 0-6 to Al’s 4-8 and could barely get the ball over half court. Yes he looked calming against temple when they weren’t pressing but if you watched this game and didn’t think he looked overmatched you don’t know basketball very well.

Have you watched a game over the past month? Gilbert just can't be the main decision maker late in close games. He makes a terrible decision every single time.

I want a player in the game that will give us a chance to win.
I asked you a question, who did you want in that spot?

Gaffney, Vital, Bouknight, Gilbert, (EDIT: Akok, not Whaley)

We actually looked good in the first half with Gilbert and Gaffney on the floor together. When Gilbert doesn't have to be "the guy" he can be good. Hurley turned him into "the guy" in the 2nd half and there was a predictable result.

Had two beautiful plays drawn coming out of our timeouts.

Do you think he coached Bouknight to dribble it off his leg. Or Whaley to foul 30 feet from the basket? Or viral with a frustration foul?
Not sure what you’re talking about him not being able to get it over half court. The offense runs so smoothly when Gaff is lead point. He also had 4 steals and 0 turnovers today. Lead the team in steals and was the only one who didn’t turn it over.

Gilbert's shot the ball better than everyone else today, maybe driving in on their best shotblocker wasnt the right play (who knows if that was what Hurley wanted), but he should of absolutely been in to have been an offensive threat for a shot.

I would have been fine with Adams instead of Gilbert.

You guys looking for Gaffney this game didnt see what a lot of us saw. A guy who was overmatched and struggling with ball pressure. Gilbert came in in the first half and they went on an 11-0 run. This was not Gaffneys game. He will continue as starter but didnt have it today.

The 0 fgs in final 5 mins of the game is pathetic. No one can make a shot. It's not even close....inexcusable

Yeah the offense looked spectacular in his end of half shot. Or his drive late when precious stuffed him.

Gilbert played awesome in the first Half. Was under control, played within the offense and took smart shots.

Then he got confident, and reverted back to the same ball stopping, over penetrating, bad decision making in the second half and the offense crumbled.
