For sure... With success comes great scrutiny and exposure. He's won two titles, and there's going to be a camera or some twitter  waiting for him to do something. The baited things I'm referring to are the interactions with fans, etc., that seem to be more of an issue with him than others. The big picture is, as he has said, his ego can get in the way of having a filter and at times, inhibit his self-control.

He's also a Hurley. And let's be honest, that family has annoyed people from the second Bobby took the court and had the runs against us in the F8 in 1990. They are lightning rods. There were people on this board who didn't want to hire Dan because he was a Hurley.

And I never said he's the only "abrasive" coach on the sidelines, and that matters very little to me. The Maui "T" was ill-advised, but him being a maniac on the sidelines is all good with me. He's great to our players and our university, and is a great, great coach. Just stop engaging with fans and coming off childish off the court.
