I have the feeling that P is going to have a big hand in the D this year. He knows this is a make or break year and D is his expertise. That's probably why he hasn't gone outside his current staff for this hire.
The question I have is:
Don Brown got the ball rolling in the direction of a 3-4. PP and Hughes have historically favored a 4-3 Under. However, the recruiting seems to be targeting bigger D linemen and outside line backers, leading me to believe that the transition to the 3-4 is still moving forward. But does anyone on the coaching staff have any extensive experience with the 3-4?
P usually seems to let his coordinators do their things and he advises or suggests things. For instance I recall for the Louisville game he wanted to go over pass coverages with brown during the week off.I have the feeling that P is going to have a big hand in the D this year. I don't think the changes are going to be as much 3-4 vs 4-3 but increasing the amount of zone coverage or cover-2 we will play. Din briwn was really giod at changin the way we blitZed and dusguising the pass rusher Hopefully we will continue I see some if these blitz packages we have seen. The question I have is:
