I always think these articles are interesting to see how some very good teams were built. How many highly ranked recruits, how many transfers, etc. The Duke and Kentucky model is easy to understand (get a bunch of very highly rated recruits) but not many teams can do that.
Texas Tech has no top 100 recruits. Their roster is a hodge podge of transfers and JC players. Have to hand it to Beard for doing a great job.
Austin Wiley is Auburn's highest ranked recruit and he's not even one of their best players. The team is carried by mostly 4 star recruits.
Michigan State has mostly 4 star guys. It's interesting that their 2 best recruits in the last 4 years aren't playing for the Spartans now (Bridges is in the NBA and Langford suffered a season ending injury back in December).
Virginia's best players are higher ranked 4 star recruits. Reminds me of most of the Calhoun UConn teams.
Just food for thought as we wait to see how Hurley builds the roster.
