I never have witnessed a challenge after the next play was completed. I know the ball can be snapped and then the refs blow whistles and come running in to kill the ongoing play in its infancy.

This one seemed that the play was completed and then refs said umm we need to review the prior play. Wtf happened? Did the ACC booth think that UConn was going to intercept that ball and thought we can’t have that and hit the buzzer?

The prior Cuse pass was clearly incomplete. It wasn’t close to being a fumble. Did Mora throw a late red beany?

Strange

I'm convinced the replay ref buzzed the field ref when it looked like we were going to pick the ball off (and use it as an excuse to call it no play). Giving them an additional down, after a very long delay took all of the momentum out of our defense, They run one more play, then punt (instead of kicking a half endind field goal) if that didn't happen.

There was another key ruling that was not reviewed I am surprised nobody has brought up. It might have iced the game.

Deep in the Syracuse end, a Syracuse fumble was ruled that the player was already down. They showed a quick reply, where it looked to me that the player was bent over on top of a UConn defender when the ball was knocked out, and he never was actually touching the ground.

Didn't anyone else see that? The replay was quick because Syracuse ran up to the line and hiked the ball. Its befuddling to me why we wouldn't challenge, especially when you see the other team rushing to get a play off. That would have been huge.

The first fumble review was valid. I thought the same about the second. He was on top of someone, but on his back so a knee couldn’t touch.

Yeah I don’t get how that was even possible completely shifted momentum leading to Cuse only being down 14-6 rather than 14-3 at the half

So let’s say Syracuse score a touchdown on the play. Can you imagine that they would’ve called back the touchdown? Stop the celebration and gone back to the previous play for review?

I don’t even know how that’s possible to pretend like a play didn’t happen.

There were some key moments yesterday that the officiating was biased and it always happens in key times that came with ACC officials. It’s why I say we always start off -7 so we’ve got to be that much better to win a game against these folks.

Visiting team is supposed to bring their own refs, how come we always default back to using home teams refs?

Is this a cost saving measure?
UConn typically contracts with the ACC for officials (for example it was also an ACC crew last week against CCSU)

I thought the same thing. I assumed that maybe some part of the Syracuse's player's body had hit the ground but I would have love to see the replay of that play.

If Cuse had scored the ref would have said there’s no flag on the play. Syracuse touchdown.

The booth buzzed them to remind them that, despite their location in South Central Canada, Syracuse is indeed in the ACC.

it's like how much do we need to receive in terms of punishment for this non conference affiliation? I don't need them pro Uconn just it's amazing what you can get used to I guess
