How`s the economy doing in CT/New England?...

Not looking for a polemic discussion here. I`m considering a return to the U.S., will be certified to teach ESL, Social Studies and soon Junior High School math by the end of this year. I`m curious about folks` impressions about how things are in the northeast. Thanks!

As always, a tremendous place to raise a family. The economy is fine, despite what some might tell you. Public sector spending is tight. Most school budgets are at level services or show slight cuts. The education professionals here can give you a better idea on job market for new teachers but I am sure it varies greatly by location.
