They are 9-2 in the best league in the country and have only five loses , at Iowa state, at Iowa, at duke, at IU and to zona. No bad ones there.

What helped them so much in the rankings was the 3 game win streak at mich st, at wisky and Iowa.

Not sure if they are the 15th best team, but they have a solid resume

Big 12 is the best conference IMO

Michigan has 6 losses, including an ugly 20 pointer on Saturday to Iowa and about to be 7 after tonight, yet i'm sure they will still be ranked higher than us. The Big10 has a bunch of mediocre teams. Not really sure how you consider them the "best" in the country.

I would say a "healthy" Michigan St is the only legit team in the B10 this year.

Michigan had a good week from Jan 18-25, they won@ then-#3 Wisconsin, vs then-#10 Iowa, and @ then-#4 Michigan State. They have finally come back to earth after the initial surge post-Mitch McGary's injury.

You can't blame them for vaulting into the top 10 after beat 3 straight top 10 opponents, two of which were on the road...

Oh, and they very well could win this game. Up 6 with less than 9 minutes to go...

My point is is that they are 15th with 6 losses a very ugly loss on Saturday and didn't drop at all after that. Somehow they are ranked higher than Iowa who just beat them by 19. I don't get all love.

they had already beat Iowa at home so they split the season matchup with them, Mich was 9-0 in that conference just up until last week, there is no justification for Iowa being ranked ahead of them.

What metrics do you use? There is no debate that the two best conferences are the big 12 and big 10. None.

They are about to pick up another top 25 road win.

Their resume is better than ours, it's not hard to figure out, but neither is a game not being over mid way through the first half and well.......

And that's why they're ranked 15th.

I think the real question is, how is Ohio St still ranked? Did you see Aaron Craft airball a 3 when OSU was down 5 points with about 2 minutes left? He was wide open and literally missed the rim by 2 or 3 feet.

Ohio state has really been one of the odder cases in terms of rankings this year, couple good wins, but overall a pretty average resume.

Ohio State is just not a good team and it's laughable all the talk Craft gets, he is an average player and pretty damn bad offensively.

Michigan withstood losing a starting center, an impact player and have lost to some very good teams. I would argue that league is one of the best but watching these teams play each other I contend it's not quite as good as originally thought early this year. Losses to Penn State and Northwestern by the big guys are questionable but still, there are some solid teams who will be tough to play against in the dance.

How much crap would I get for saying our conference is the best THIS year?

Well considering Penn State has the lowest RPI in the big 10 and they have a better RPI than HALF of our conference, you would deservedly get a ton of crap.

Michigan has the second toughest schedule in the country. Only Kansas has a tougher one. By contract, Wichita State is ranked #121 for strength of schedule.
