IMO, no lower than 4. In the last AP Poll, UCONN was 3rd behind Lou and NC State and just ahead of SC, UCLA and Stanford. In the last Coaches Poll, UCONN was 4th behind Lou, NCState and SC and just ahead of UCLA and Stanford. Lou will remain No. 1 because it is still undefeated; however, NCState just lost to an unranked VT team that has a losing conference record, so it should drop below UCONN regardless. SC, which lost to a top 10 ranked NCState team at SC should jump to No. 2. UCLA and Stanford both have two losses, with UCLA's 2 losses being better than Stanford's (losses to then No. 7 Arizona and NO.1 Stanford versus Stanford losing to No. 6 UCLA and unranked Colorado), so UCLA may jump UCONN based on the quality of the losses, but I think they stay behind UCONN because of more losses (2 to 1). Stanford should remain below UCONN because of the bad Colorado loss. UCONN lost to a top 20 ranked team on the road by 3 points, so I can't see with the AP or coaches penalizing the team more than 1 spot in either poll, especially because of the bad NCState loss.we're clearly in the 5 to 8 position. I think we need to beat SC to get a #1 seed in the Tournament.
The problem with your reasoning here is that despite its losing conference record, VaTech has 5 losses by 5 points or fewer...and 3 of those losses were by 3, 2 and 2 points. (I have documented this in at least two separate threads in the General Women's Basketball forum). They are very close to having a flipped conference record. You can't simply look at the overall or conference record and say "Eww...that's a bad loss". The coaches will recognize that, at least, if the media is too lazy to do just a little research before posting their ballots.however, NCState just lost to an unranked VT team that has a losing conference record, so it should drop below UCONN regardless.. NCState should drop by at least 5 positions in both polls IMO.
For today's AP poll I believe UConn will stay at #3 and I expect #4 South Carolina to swap places with #2 NC State. In my view NC States loss to unranked VA Tech will do then in even though UConn lost to #19 Arkansas but UConn also beat #17 DePaul.
I agree with you on this one. I would have SC at No.1 and Louisville at No. 2 and UCONN at No.3. The polls will put Louisville at No.1 but I think SC, UCONN and Stanford could beat them.I went South Carolina, Louisville, UConn. I think the only team I'd pick to beat UConn on a neutral floor in April right now is South Carolina, but Louisville got the nod because it's hard to argue with being undefeated. Notably, however, according to Massey they have yet to face a top 25 team, so their record is bloated by a lot of wins over so-so teams.
The problem is there are not 5/6 teams that are better than UConn.Homers all. I figure about 6/7.

Wait, what? Name 6 teams better?Homers all. I figure about 6/7.
I have us behind SC, Lou, Stan, UCLA, NCSt, TxAM right nowWait, what? Name 6 teams better?

Send me a personal message. Don't want multiple powerball winners if I go public.Whats the next winning powerball number?
A&M? Really, ok, I have seen that team play 6 games and am not impressed at all.I have us behind SC, Lou, Stan, UCLA, NCSt, TxAM right now
