Hurley laughed when reminded of that quote recently, jokingly saying he may want to walk that one back.
"There's probably more competition for spots," he told CT Insider. I would say last summer, you probably had a 99-percent idea of who the starters were going to be. Whereas with this group, it feels like there's going to be a lot more competition for spots. There's more viable players (this season)."
