I would guess they flew back to Connecticut after the game Thursday and then took a bus to Newark this morning.

I doubt that very highly. I have never heard of a team taking a bus the same day as a game. I mean, the team stays in Hatford the night before they play there, don't they?

The Syracuse men's basketball team stays in a hotel in DeWitt, 10 minutes away from campus, the night before every home game.

Curious about the Syracuse men? Why would they do that when the carrier dome is on campus. Most all of the players live in apartments on south campus, 1 mile from the dome.

Curious about the Syracuse men? Why would they do that when the carrier dome is on campus. Most all of the players live in apartments on south campus, 1 mile from the dome.

A 3+ hour bus ride to Newark just before a 1pm game?? No way.

When I was in college, our football team would stay at a university-owned retreat some 15 miles from campus. For meetings and camaraderie and making sure everyone got to the stadium ready to play. Our basketball team did the same thing for any early afternoon games.
