How did the ref miss that fumble in real time?

How did they miss the one for T. Baltimore years ago against lville... they're just not all that good

The referee's announcement that "after review . . . The ball was caught, fumbled and recovered by UConn" he should have also been made to offer a stadium wide public apology for denying #22 a certain TD.

How many of those were missed before video review existed? Refs have blown calls since Knute Rockne's day. At least it got corrected enough to give us the ball.

I think we got the worst crew the AAC had to offer yesterday. Besides that call, we counted at least four times they threw a flag and then picked it up. My favorite was watching the back judge counting our players, doing the eenie meenie miney moe count on his fingers, thinking there were 12, throwing the flag and then well ummm nevermind. I miscounted

The officiating yesterday was beyond awful. I seldom get angry at officials, especially when UCONN is winning handily, but that group was incompetent. I'm assuming it's an AAC crew, and assuming it is, the conference needs to take a long hard look at those guys.
