How did recruiting go this offseason?

They added 3-4 immediate impact players through the portal including a former 4 star TE from Michigan
Portal moves were good.
Took in a lot more CT kids, which is good for local community development .
Overall, recruit class ranking is very low comparatively and disappointing given the success last year. But, recruit class ranking seems like an old metric given the role of the portal.
I think it will shake out fine.

Biggest recruiting win for Mora and staff was keeping the current impact players in Storrs and not in the portal.
100% Agree. I am glad most of them stayed.

I think Mora is taking the old Geno and Calhoun approach to recruiting. Put a circle around the local area and lock it down while getting some recruits from the midwest and downsouth. Then gradually expand as more success on the field is happening.
