Down 34-13 midway through 4th qtr, they've gotten 2 onside kicks.
Down 34-27 with 1 to go. Ball on 20.

Houston leads 35-34 with 59 sec to go

Unbelievable! I turned the game off at 34-13 because I couldn't stomach it. Now, I've missed all the joy of watching Spitt fall apart! Damn it!!!

Incredible! Congrats to the Coogs, and screw Spitt...

Brings back fond memories of DJ erasing the 31-17 deficit and coming back to win 46-45 in 2OT. Oh...and throwing the ball out of the stadium too!

Here's the really weird irony. In the 1979 Cotton Bowl game, Houston lead Notre Lame 34 - 12 early in the fourth quarter. The game was played during an ice storm.

There was an ice storm yesterday in Fort Worth. Houston erased almost the exact same margin that Notre Lame did behind Joe Montana in the 1979 Cotton Bowl. The Irish won that game 35-34, the exact same score as today's Houston victory. Congrats to the Coogs, who obviously never gave up. What are the odds of recovering two onside kicks back-to-back that you absolutely must recover! They executed both of them to perfection.

After all these many years, Houston pulls off the exact same bowl comeback they were victimized by in 1979.

Where did that ball end up btw

I know it isn't a UConn game, but can tcf15 get us a video of the fourth quarter of this game to relive time and time again?

They're indicating it's the largest fourth quarter comeback in bowl history.

After getting crushed at home 41-0 by Cincy and then losing at home to none other than SMU, on the heels of the 4 seasons past - there is not much I, myself, have to say negatively regarding any other football program, because as of right now - we are the worst in the land.

With that noted [grinning a toothy smile]....I say: "Good job Cougars.......congrats on knocking off Pitt."

Great find and post...Words can't describe that comeback. Best I have ever seen and
best in NCAA Bowl history.
